Capillas de Mármol (Marble Chapels) are strange but incredibly beautiful rock formations found in Lago General Carrera that constitute one of the most recognized attractions of the Carretera Austral.
Declared sanctuaries, Capillas de Mármol are formations of calcium carbonate mineral that over the years have been eroded by the waters of Lake General Carrera, creating these islets navigable by small boats.
